Camshaft Position Sensor: Component Tests and General Diagnostics

COMPONENT INSPECTION

1. Start engine.

2. Check voltage between camshaft position sensor terminals (3), (4) and ground with AC range.

If NG, replace distributor assembly with camshaft position sensor.

3. Remove distributor cap. Visually check signal plate for damage or dust.

After this inspection, DTC PO34O (0101) might be displayed with camshaft position sensor functioning properly. Erase the stored memory.
