Remove the inspection hole cover under the rear seat (Figure 1).

NOTE: 

Use protective covers to prevent any gasoline from spilling on the interior of the car.

Disconnect the harness connectors and fuel hoses from the upper plate of the fuel sending unit.

NOTE: 

Mark the fuel outlet and return hoses to ensure correct re-assembly (Figure 2).

Remove the fuel sending unit retaining ring.

Remove the fuel pump with its bracket by lifting the pawl of the fuel pump bracket upward. Then slide the fuel pump, bracket, and fuel sending
unit out of the fuel tank (Figure 3).

8.

Remove the resin clip from the hoses. The resin clip can be re-used if it is not broken during removal.

9.

Slide the fuel pump outlet hose clamps 40 mm away from the fittings.
