Install the mounting bolt closest to the transfer gear housing center (bolt # 1 Figure 8), then the lower mounting bolt (bolt # 2, Figure 8). Torque
both the bolts.

Torque: 14-22 ft-lb (20-29 N.m, 2-3 kg-m).

Center the steering wheel.

Inspect the upper and lower aligning marks on the transfer gear housing boots and confirm they are in alignment with the casting marks on the 
steering transfer gear housing (refer to Fig. 6). If not, repeat from step 1.

Connect the center joint to the steering transfer gear, aligning the mark on the gear housing to the aligning groove on the center joint (Figure 9).

Install center joint upper pinch bolt by hand, then torque both the center joint upper and lower pinch bolts.

CAUTION: 

To prevent damage to the pinch bolt during installation confirm the shaft groove is aligned with the center joint pinch bolt hole.

Torque: 17-22 ft-lb (24-29 N.m, 2.4-3 kg-m).

Install the engine lower cover.

10.

Torque the upper mounting bolt

Torque: 14-22 ft-lb (20-29 N.m, 2-3 kg-m).

11.

Turn the steering wheel approximately 110° to the left.
