Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Leaf Spring

1. Raise and support rear of vehicle at chassis. Support rear axle to relieve tension from spring.
2. Disconnect shock absorber at lower mounting and remove U-bolts and spring plates.
3. Remove one or two parking brake rear cable clamps on side of leaf springs.
4. Lower jack.

5. Disconnect spring from rear shackle, Fig. 13.
6. Disconnect spring from front body attachment.
7. Remove spring from vehicle.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
