If the left side measurement is at least . . . lower than the right side, refer to the FA section of the service manual to replace the left front strut
spring with the CIM spring listed in the parts table. Use the special tool (Kent Moore # J42956 or equivalent) in Figure 2 to ensure the strut rod
does not rotate when removing the lock nut.

During reassembly, be sure to position the spring as shown in Figure 3.

6.

Reassemble the strut assembly using new nuts (see parts table).

CAUTION:

Note that the lock nut (first nut listed in the Parts Information table) has a different part number depending on whether the strut is standard or
electric.
