^ When servicing the SRS, do not work from directly in front of the air bag module.

2. Remove the 3 steering wheel contact plate mounting bolts.

3. Remove and replace the original steering wheel contact plate with the part listed in this bulletin.

4. Install new contact plate mounting bolts and torque to maximum of 1.9 Nm (0.193 kg-m, 1.4 ft-lb).

5. Use new driver air bag module mounting bolts and torque to 10.5 Nm, (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 ftlb.)

6. After the work is completed, perform self-diagnosis to check that no malfunction is detected. Refer to the SRS Operation Check in the Electronic
Service Manual.
