Remove the audio head unit and deck pocket according to page BT-11 (steps 6-7) of the service manual to reveal the HVAC unit (see Figure 2).

Clean the surface of the HVAC unit (see Figure 2) with a clean shop rag to remove all dust and debris. Make sure that the surface of the unit is dry
before applying the seal.

Before removing the adhesive backing from the foam seal (see Figure 3), pre-fit the seal on the HVAC unit and duct to verify correct position.

4.

Peel off the adhesive backing and apply the foam seal to the HVAC unit (see Figure 4).

5.

Confirm that the foam seal is fully and smoothly adhered to the HVAC unit. Turn the HVAC setting to foot mode, fan speed 4, full heat and verify
that no air leak from the heater case is present.

6.

Reinstall the audio head unit.
