Remove four screws from the side windshield molding.

3.

Carefully remove the side windshield molding off of the vehicle.

Cut a piece of foam tape (3M Scotchfoam P/N 021200-03320 Tape # 4504 or equivalent) approximately 55cm (21.65in) long, 10 mm (0.39in)
wide, and 15 mm (0.59in) thick.  Attach this piece to the inside of the groove of the side windshield molding between the two pieces of foam (see
Figure 8).

5.

Reinstall in reverse order of disassembly.

6.

Apply suitable adhesive (3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive P/N 051135-080084504 or equivalent) to underside of drip rail weatherstrip at the
bottom of A-pillar area to attach the end down.

Recheck:

Test the vehicle as described in "Verify" above to ensure the repair is complete.

Wind Leak Sound Across Top(S) of Door(S)

Verify:

There may be a wind leak sound across the top(s) of the door(s).  The incident is usually more pronounced during cross wind gusts.
Incident may be duplicated by an assistant (not the driver) pushing outwards at the top of the door while the vehicle is being driven.

Isolate:

The outer lip of the drip rail weatherstrip may not exert enough outward force on the door to completely seal against wind noise.  Install foam seal into
the drip rail weatherstrip (see Figure 9) using the repair procedure below to resolve the incident.

Repair:

1.

Cut a piece of foam tape (3M Scotchfoam P/N 021200-03320 Tape # 4504 or equivalent) approximately 116cm (45.67 in) long, 5 mm
(approximately 1/4 in) thick, and 5 mm (approximately 1/4 in) wide.
