SERVICE INFORMATION
 
If the sun shade on a 1996-1999 Pathfinder is difficult to move forward or backward or will not move at all, the sun shade clips may have disengaged
from the sun roof track.  These clips may then break or deform and prevent movement of the sun shade.
 
If this condition should occur, use the Service Procedure below to install the parts listed and replace the sun shade assembly, if needed.
 
NOTE:  

This procedure does not apply to 1999.5+ Pathfinders (R50).  See Applied VIN information, above.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
 
1.

Open the sun roof glass and remove the sun shade assembly from the roof top side.

2.

Remove the headliner (refer to the appropriate Service Manual, Body And Trim Section, Roof Trim).

3.

Remove the rear drain assembly (refer to the appropriate Service Manual, Body And Trim Section, Sun Roof).

4.

Install an additional rubber stopper (P/N 91254-0W010) onto the sun roof frame assembly (see Figure 1).
