Torque strut center nut. Use a torque wrench to torque the nut to 60-78 N.m (6-8 kg-m,44-58 ft-lbs). Do not use an impact. See Figure 35.

NOTE:

For electrically adjustable struts, torque the bottom nut to 59-78 N.m (6-8 kg-m, 43-58 ft-lbs), then torque the top nut to 41-53 N.m (4.2-5.4 kg-m,
30-39 ft-lbs). Do not use an impact wrench.

Remove the special tool and re-seat the bound bumper and make sure the dust boot is correctly positioned to cover the shaft.
