Inspect the upper insulator assembly for any damage or wear in the "D" shaped hole that the strut rod goes through (see Figure 30). Replace the
upper insulator if there is any damage or wear to the hole.

Transfer the upper spring rubber insulator to the new upper spring seat. Inspect the bottom spring insulator tube and replace if damaged (P/N
54034-0W010). Install the new bound bumper and make sure that it is seated in the upper spring seat. Use soapy water to assist in seating the
bound bumper. See Figures 26 and 31.

Reassemble the strut using new nuts. If replacing the strut, put the special tool at the base of the shock shaft to prevent it from retracting into the
strut during assembly.
