Reinstall the SRS control unit connectors.

Reinstall the center console.

Reconnect the passenger and driver side air bag connectors.

12.

Connect the battery.

13.

Use CONSULT(TM) to check the Current and Past modes for codes (see Figures 20 through 24).

14.

Press the "BACK" key to exit the diagnostics mode. Disconnect CONSULT and turn the ignition OFF.

15.

Turn the ignition to the ON position and confirm that the SRS Warning Lamp turns off after 7 seconds.

16.

Reset the radio presets and the clock.

E. Rear Shock Absorber Nut Procedure

IMPORTANT:

You must perform this repair with the vehicle on the ground or on a hoist that supports the rear axle assembly. This is necessary because once the
shock absorber is removed, the axle will drop several inches and it will be extremely difficult to reinstall the shock absorber if the axle is not
supported.

Remove the screw that secures the splash shield near the top shock mount.
