Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
Shift Solenoid Valve A

DESCRIPTION 

Shift solenoid valves A and B are turned "ON" or "OFF" by the A/T control unit in response to signals sent from the inhibitor switch, vehicle speed
and throttle position sensors. Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) confirmation procedure 

After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.

WITH CONSULT

(1) Start engine.

(2) Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode with CONSULT.
(3) Drive vehicle in D1 -> D2 position.

OR 

WITH GST

(1) Start engine.
(2) Drive vehicle in D1 -> D2 position.
