If the double sided tape on the outer lip of the glass run rubber does not adequately stick to the A-pillar area, apply suitable adhesive (3M
Super Weatherstrip Adhesive P/N 051135-08008 or equivalent).  Clean off any excess adhesive from the glass run rubber and the A-pillar area
after application.

Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.

 
Recheck:

Test the vehicle as described in "Verify" above to ensure the repair is complete.

Wind Noise Around Side Door Mirror

Verify:

There may be a wind turbulence noise from the side door mirror. The incident usually occurs at highway speeds of 55 MPH and up (always drive safely
and observe all traffic laws).

Incident can be identified by taping over the space between the mirror body and mirror base outer trim (see Figure 3).  If the noise stops use the
following repair procedure to resolve the incident.

Isolate:

The space between the mirror body and mirror base outer trim creates wind turbulence.  This turbulence is directed at or near the door glass.  Add seal
packing as shown in Figure 4a from the Parts Information table at the end of this bulletin.  Figure 4b shows where new holes are to be drilled into the
mirror base outside trim for the seal packing.

Poor sealing or mis-positioning of the door mirror to the door can also cause wind turbulence sound.  Add foam seals to the mirror base as indicated in
the repair below to avoid this occurrence.
