1996-97 PATHFINDER "A" PILLAR WIND NOISE

APPLIED VEHICLE(S):
1996-97 Pathfinder (R50)

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 1996-97 Pathfinder has excessive wind noise around the left or right "A" pillar at approximately 40 mph and/or 70 mph, the cause may be improper
sealing of the front window sash molding (window glass run rubber). Perform the following procedure to resolve these incidents.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Duplicate the incident by driving the vehicle at 40 mph and/or 70 mph (if local laws allow).

2.

Seal the area exhibiting the noise by placing a piece of duct tape between the window glass and the window sash molding as shown in Figure 2.

3.

lest drive the vehicle to confirm that the wind noise is eliminated.
