If an applied 1996-1999 Pathfinder exhibits wind noise(s), use the repairs in this bulletin to resolve the incident(s).
 
This bulletin addresses five specific incidents and their repair.  Always verify and isolate all instances before conducting any repairs.  For general tips on
isolating and the diagnosis of wind noises please reference Nissan SIR (Service Information Resource) training videos # 12 & # 31.

Please reference Section "UY - Water Leak, Dust Entry" of your current Nissan "Warranty Flat Rate Manual" and follow the instructions for "resealing"
operations that DO INVOLVE component removal/replacement, and for "resealing" operations that DO NOT INVOLVE component
removal/replacement.  Use the resulting coding that best reflects the repair performed.

Diagnostic Note

First confirm the conditions when the symptom occurs.  Is it during a cross wind, a head wind, or a following wind?  Is the incident intermittent or
constant?  At what vehicle speed does it occur?  Make note of these characteristics and compare them with the ones listed below.
 
NOTE:  

Read through all the incidents covered in this bulletin before making repairs.  Some repairs may need to be done together with others.
