Camshaft: Testing and Inspection
Cam Height
1. Measure camshaft cam height.

The standard cam lobe height for the exhaust valves is 38.943 - 39.133 mm (1.5332 - 1.5407 inch).

The standard cam height for the intake valves is 39.242 - 39.432 mm (1.5450 - 1.5524 inch).
^
The cam height wear limit is 0.15 mm (0.0059 inch).
2. If wear is beyond the limit, replace the camshaft.
