SERVICE INFORMATION
The rear brakes of some 720 Trucks may squeal during brake application. If an inspection of the rear brakes has found all components to be in good
condition, rear brake noise countermeasure parts should be installed.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
The following tools are required to install the countermeasure parts:

Center Punch

^

Hammer

^

3.4mm Twist Drill (equivalent #29 index drill)

^

Drill Motor

^

4mm - 0.7 Tap and Holder (#8-32 x 1/4" screws may be used)

^

#2 Phillips Screwdriver

^

Large Standard Screwdriver

^

2" x 4" x 12" Wooden Block

^

1/4" x 1-1/2" x 4" Wooden Spacer

1.

Remove the rear wheels and brake drums from the vehicle.

2.

Use a retaining clip and center punch to mark three (3) hole locations equally spaced around the outside flange of one brake drum as
shown below.
