Thermal Vacuum Valve: Testing and Inspection

1.

Drain a portion of engine coolant, then remove thermal vacuum valve from engine.

2.

Inhale air from air cleaner side port, Fig. 54. Ensure valve opens at temperatures between 59°F and 140°F and is closed at all other temperatures. 
Do not allow water to get inside valve.
