Dashpot: Adjustments

1.

Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached and ensure idle speed and mixture ratio are properly adjusted.

2.

Turn throttle lever by hand and note engine speed when dashpot just contacts stopper lever.

3.

Adjust position of dashpot by turning nut until engine speed meets specifications listed in the Carburetor Specifications Chart.

4.

Tighten locknuts and ensure engine speed drops smoothly from 1000 to 2000 RPM in approximately three seconds.
