Fast Idle Control Device (F.I.C.D.): Description and Operation

    The idle-up or Fast Idle Control Device (FICD) system is used on models equipped with A/C. The system increases idle speed when the A/C system is
operating in order to prevent poor battery charging, erratic idling and reduced A/C cooling capability.
