TIRE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS

SERVICE INFORMATION

This Technical Bulletin provides a listing of front and rear tire pressure specifications for all 1985 Nissan models. Note that with the adoption of front
wheel drive, the 1985 Maxima Sedans and Wagons have higher front tire pressures than previous years.

Tire pressures should be checked and adjusted at least once every month. The spare tire pressure should also be checked at this time. (300ZX
models are equipped with a Space Saver or Foldable spare tire. Make sure the vehicle is equipped with either a filled canister or an air
compressor.)

Improper inflation pressures can reduce the tread life and durability of a tire, increase its susceptibility to road hazards and adversely affect
vehicle handling.

Always check and adjust inflation pressures when tires are COLD. Tires are considered COLD if the vehicle has been parked for at least three
hours or driven less than 1 mile. Because a HOT tire will exceed the specified COLD pressure, never bleed air out of a HOT tire.

Seasonal temperature variations have a small effect on tire inflation pressures. Cold inflation pressures should be set after the vehicle has
been at rest in temperatures typical for the season.
