Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

    When installing new condenser, it is not necessary to add refrigerant oil when there are no signs of a major oil leak, except on the Sentra.
When installing new condenser on Sentra that shows no sign of oil leak, add .3 oz. of new refrigerant oil. On all models that show signs of major
oil leak, except 200SX, 300ZX or Sentra, add 1.7 oz. of new refrigerant oil. On Sentra and 300ZX that show signs of major oil leak, add 2 oz. of
new refrigerant oil.

Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge system refrigerant.

2.

Drain engine coolant.

3.

Remove radiator grille and radiator shroud, then the radiator.

4.

Remove left hand headlight assembly.

5.

Remove refrigerant tubes.

6.

Disconnect refrigerant line from condenser.

7.

Remove condenser mounting bolts and the condenser.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.
