BRAKE PEDAL FEEL

APPLIED MODELS: 1987 Sentra (B12) and 1987 Pulsar NX (N13)

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a customer complains of a brake pedal that feels soft or spongy during brake application, the following procedure should be used to reduce this
incident.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Bleed air out of the brake system using the bleeding procedure in the appropriate Service manual.

2.

If brake pedal feel is not improved after bleeding the system, replace the front brake pads with the appropriate disc brake pad kit (see Parts
Information). Only install the new pads if the vehicle was built before the following VINs. The new pads have been installed in the Applied
Models beginning with the following VINs:
