Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1.

Drain oil, then remove the exhaust front tube and, on 2WD models the center crossmember.

2.

Using a wide, flat tool, remove the oil pan using care not to deform the pan flange.

3.

Clean oil pan and block mating surfaces.

4.

Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket or equivalent to mating surface of pan, then attach pan to block within five minutes of gasket application,
then wait 30 minutes before refilling engine with oil.
