Oil Cooler: Service and Repair

OIL COOLER

Removal and Installation

WARNING:
Be careful not to get burned, engine coolant and engine oil may be hot.

CAUTION:
-

When removing oil cooler, prepare a shop cloth to absorb any engine oil leakage or spillage.

Completely wipe off any engine oil that adheres to the engine and the vehicle.

REMOVAL
1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to .
2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair.
3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly using power tool.
4. Remove the splash shield.
5. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the oil cooler.

CAUTION:
Do not spill coolant on the drive belt.
