Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
Front Suspension
STABILIZER BAR
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Remove the wheel and tire using power tool. Refer to See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair/Conventional Tire And Wheel.
2. Remove the steering gear bolts on the lower side. Refer to See: Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Support steering gear.
3. Disconnect the connecting rod end at the stabilizer bar using power tool.

Prevent the connecting rod from turning by inserting a hex wrench into the end of the ball stud, then remove nut.
4. Remove the two stabilizer bar clamps from the front suspension member.
5. Remove the stabilizer bar by withdrawing from side.

Remove the two stabilizer bushings as necessary.
INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL

Check the stabilizer bar for deformation or cracks and replace if necessary.
