3. Remove wheel bearing snap ring from knuckle.
4. Using a suitable pressing tool, press wheel bearing out of knuckle.

Assembly

1. Press new wheel bearing into knuckle. Press only on outer race of wheel bearing.
2. Install snap ring into groove of knuckle.
3. Install baffle plate and splash guard onto knuckle.
4. Press wheel hub into knuckle, holding wheel bearing inner race as shown in Fig. 5.
5. Spin knuckle several turns in both directions, ensure wheel bearings operate smoothly. 

Installation

Reverse removal procedure, noting the following: 

a.  Torque lower strut mounting bolts and nuts to 94-108 ft. lbs.
b.  Torque tie-rod ball joint nut to 22-29 ft. lbs.
c.  Apply engine oil to threaded portion of driveshaft, then torque wheel bearing locknut to 174-231 ft. Lbs.
d.  Check wheel bearing endplay. Endplay should be .002 or less.
e.  Ensure wheel bearing operates smoothly.
