Remove the right "B" pillar finisher.

 
9.

Remove the finisher above the sliding door.

10.

Remove the right "C" and "D" pillar finishers.

 
11.

Remove the finisher above the rear hatch door.

 
12.

Remove both driver side dome lights.

 
13.

Remove the rear dome light.

 
14.

Remove the clips that secure the sides of the headliner to the roof.

 
15.

Remove the sunroof welt finisher.

 
16.

Remove the old headliner through the rear hatch door.

 
17.

Install the new headliner (through the rear hatch door) in the reverse order it was removed.

 
CAUTION:  

Avoid damaging the headliner by not bending it during installation.

NOTE:  

When installing the new headliner, ensure the hook and loop fasteners (located on the top side of the headliner around the sunroof opening) are
correctly positioned and securely attached to the headliner and the vehicle body (refer to BT-26 of the 1997 Quest Service Manual).

18.

Re-install all previously removed components (i.e., dome lights, finisher panels, clips, etc.) in the reverse order they were removed.

 
19.

Re-connect all seat belts to their upper mounting anchor points and tighten the mounting bolts/nuts according to the torque specifications listed on
pages RS-4 & RS-6 in the 1997 Quest Service Manual.
