Installing Snap Ring

2. Install snap ring while pushing  down on piston assemblies.

Installing Valve Stopper

3. On models with ABS, install valve stopper  while piston is pushed into cylinder.
4. Install seals and supply lines to master cylinder.

INSTALLATION 

CAUTION:

Refill with new "DOT 3" brake fluid.

Never reuse drained brake fluid.

1. Place master cylinder onto brake booster and secure mounting nuts lightly.
2. Fix flare nuts to master cylinder.
3. Torque mounting nuts to 12-18 Nm (9-13 ft. lbs.)

Tightening Hose Clamps

4. Tighten all hose clamp as shown.
5. Bleed air from each caliper. See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair
