Engine Oil Pressure: Specifications

WARNING:  BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF, AS THE ENGINE AND OIL MAY BE HOT.

1. Put selector lever in Park position and check oil level.
2. Remove the oil pressure switch.
3. Install a pressure gauge.
4. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
5. Check the oil pressure with the engine running under no-load. With the engine running at 3,200 RPM the approximate discharge pressure should

be 392 - 481 kPa (57 - 70 psi) and at idle the pressure should be more than 118 kPa (17 psi). If difference is extreme, check oil passage and oil
pump for oil leaks.

6. Install the oil pressure switch with sealant.
