Cornering Lamp: Description and Operation
The lighting switch must be in the 1ST or 2ND position for the cornering lamps to operate. The cornering lamp switch is part of the combination switch
and is controlled by the turn signal lever. The cornering lamps provide additional lighting in the direction of the turn.
With the lighting switch in the 1ST or 2ND position, the tail lamp relay is energized and power is supplied:
^ from tail lamp relay terminal (5)
^ through 10 A fuse (No. (17), located in the fuse block)
^ to cornering lamp switch terminal (4).
RH turn
When the turn signal lever is moved to the RH position, power is supplied:
^ from cornering lamp switch terminal (4)
^ through cornering lamp switch terminal (6)
^ to cornering lamp RH terminal (3).
Ground is supplied to cornering lamp RH terminal (1) through body grounds (E3), (E14) and (E53).
The RH cornering lamp illuminates until the turn is completed.
LH turn
When the turn signal lever is moved to the LH position, power is supplied:
^ from cornering lamp switch terminal (4)
^ through cornering lamp switch terminal (5)
^ to cornering lamp LH terminal (3).
Ground is supplied to cornering lamp LH terminal (1) through body grounds (E3), (E14) and (E53)
The LH cornering lamp illuminates until the turn is completed.
