Disconnecting the battery on a 1999 Quest may affect sunroof operation as outlined in the Service Procedure table provided. Based on the position of the
sunroof when the Quest's battery is disconnected, perform the appropriate procedure listed in the Service Procedure table to "cycle" the sunroof, correct
the condition, and test that the sunroof is functioning properly.

To ensure customer satisfaction, whenever the battery is disconnected, use the appropriate procedure provided in this bulletin to "cycle" the sunroof one
time prior to delivering the vehicle to the customer.

During pre-delivery inspection (PDI), always completely open, close, and fully tilt the sunroof to ensure proper operation.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Verify one of the conditions exists as described in the EFFECT section of the table.

2. Perform the appropriate procedure in the ACTION REQUIRED TO RESOLVE section of the table to "cycle" the sunroof one time, correct the

condition, and test that the sunroof is functioning properly.
