Using a hammer and a 25 mm deep-well socket, carefully tap the bolt out of the seat belt buckle (see Figure 8). Discard the bolt, wave washer and
star washer.

Install the new bolt, wave washer and star washer on the seat belt buckle making sure the wave washer is placed between the seat belt buckle and
bolt head (see Figure 9).

NOTE:

Make sure the part number on the seat belt buckle faces away from the bolt head (see Figure 9).

Re-install the seat belt buckle on the seat track. Tighten the mounting bolt until it is fully seated, then torque to 46 N.m (4.8 kg-m, 34 ft-lb).

NOTE:

The fixed nut on the new seat track. that the seat belt buckle bolt screws into. is not threaded. The seat belt buckle bolt will make threads in the seat
track fixed nut as it is screwed in.

Re-install the side cover on the seat.

22.

Re-install the seat in the vehicle making sure it is fully latched into the striker plates in the floor.

23.

Check the seat mechanism for proper operation as follows:

A.

Lift up on the recline lever located on the right lower side of the seat, allowing the upper seat back to fold forward.

B.

Push the seat to its full forward position.

C.

Lift the upper seat back to its full upright position until it clicks into place.

D.

Slide the seat rearward until it locks (clicks) in position.

E.

Repeat steps A through D five times to ensure proper seat mechanism operation.
