INTRODUCTION
On some 1999 Quest models, the combination switch that operates the turn signals and the windshield wipers may cause unintended activation of the
windshield wipers. To ensure customer satisfaction, Nissan has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to replace the combination switch and resolve
this condition.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number B0074 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this Campaign.
NUMBER OF VEHICLES POTENTIALLY AFFECTED
The number of vehicles potentially affected is approximately 40,000.
DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
It is a dealer's responsibility to correct each vehicle falling within the range of this campaign which enters the service department utilizing Service Comm
to identify affected vehicles. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer's
inventory.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Record the radio presets for later reprogramming.
2.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery (see Figure 1).
