1999-2000 QUEST POWER DOOR LOCKS SELF-ACTIVATING OR CYCLING

APPLIED VEHICLES:
1999-2000 Quest (V41)

APPLIED DATES:
Vehicles built between September 26, 1998 and September 15, 1999

SERVICE INFORMATION

If the front door locks self-activate or cycle on an applied 1999-2000 Quest, the front door linkages may not be correctly adjusted and/or the front door 
power window switches may need to be replaced.

The condition may be difficult to duplicate.

If this condition should occur, use the Service Procedure below to correct it.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

If the customer confirms that the described condition exists, the remaining procedures describe how to repair the vehicle, if the vehicle was built
within the Applied Date range.

2.

Remove the driver's side front door trim panel (refer to the 1999 Quest Service Manual, Body And Trim Section, page BT-22 or the 2000 Quest
Electronic Service Manual, Body And Trim Section, page BT-31 for door trim removal and installation instructions).

3.

Move the water shield aside.

4.

Loosen the lock rod bell crank bolt (see Figure 1).

5.

Place the front door latch into the closed position by either closing the door or manually closing the latch.
