8. Perform this procedure (Step 1-7) on the other front brake assembly.
9. Burnish the brake pads during the test drive.
Burnishing Procedure
Burnish contact surfaces between the pads and rotors according to the following procedure after replacing the pads.
CAUTION:
^ Be careful of vehicle speed because the brake does not operate firmly / securely until the pads and disc rotors are securely fitted.
^ Only perform this procedure under safe road and traffic conditions. Use extreme caution.
a. Drive the vehicle on a straight flat road.
b. Depress the brake pedal with the power to stop the vehicle within 3 to 5 seconds until the vehicle stops.
c. Drive without depressing the brake for a few minutes to cool the brake.
d. Repeat Step a - c until the pads and disc rotors are securely fitted (about 10 times).
