^ Cut the harness 40 mm (1-5/8 inch) from the EGI harness.

^ Be careful not to cut it too short.

9. Remove any tape from the cut ends of the PVCV wires (Red and Yellow wires).

10. Connect the new harness line to the EGI harness with the solder sleeve connectors.

^ The new harness line and solder sleeve connectors are included in the Harness Service Kit.

^ Make sure to match the wire colors (Red<=>Red, Yellow<=>Yellow).

^ If needed, refer to NTB03-078 for information on using / installing solder sleeve connectors.

11. Separate the solder sleeve connectors and place them on the EGI harness as shown.
