Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation

1. Remove drain plug and drain the oil from transaxle.
2. Remove drive shafts.
3. Remove differential oil seal using Tool.

4. Install differential oil seal with a suitable tool.

Apply multi-purpose grease to seal lip of oil seal before installing.

5. Install drive shafts.

Install differential oil seal so that dimensions "A" and "B" are within specifications.

6. Refill the transaxle oil and install the drain plug with a new gasket. Refer to "FILLING".
