DTC P0442 / P0456 (EVAP SMALL/VERY SMALL LEAK)

This bulletin amends NTB03-041. This version amends the Applied Vehicle and Service Procedure information.

Please discard all paper copies of the earlier versions.

APPLIED VEHICLE:
2003 - 2004 Sentra (B15) with QG18DE engine *

* Engine ECM part number must match one listed in Chart A.

IF YOU CONFIRM:

A MIL "ON" with the following DTC(s) stored:

^

P0442 EVAP Control System (EVAP Small Leak), or

^

P0456 EVAP Control System (EVAP Very Small Leak).

ACTIONS:

A.

Confirm this bulletin applies:

^

Check the Current ECM Part Number.

^

Compare your Current ECM Part Number to those listed in Chart A.

If your ECM P/N is not listed, this bulletin does not apply. Go back to ASIST for further diagnostic and repair information.

B.

Reprogram the ECM.

C.

If needed (as specified by chart A), perform Idle Air Volume Learning-IAVL.

D.

Perform DTC Confirmation to confirm there are no EVAP system leaks.
