VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS RECALL CAMPAIGN 
2003 - 2005 SENTRA / 2005 - 2006 FRONTIER ECM REPROGRAMMING

This amends the previous version of this bulletin to include certain 2005 and 2006 Frontier vehicles with 2.5 liter engines sold outside of California
emission states. Previously, this bulletin applied only to 2003-2005 Nissan Sentra and 2005-2006 Nissan Frontier vehicles sold in California emission
states. Please discard previous versions of this bulletin.

APPLIED VEHICLES: 
2003 - 2005 Sentra (B15) with 1.8L SULEV engine only 
2005 - 2006 Frontier (D40) with 2.5L engine only 

NOTE:

Use Service Comm to determine campaign eligibility.

INTRODUCTION

Nissan has determined that on some 2003, 2004, and 2005 model year Nissan Sentra vehicles with 1.8 liter engine and some 2005 and 2006 Frontier
vehicles with 2.5 liter engine there is a possibility that the program in the Engine Control Module (ECM) may lead to the improper operation of the
evaporative emission control system. To prevent this potential condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign
to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM).

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Nissan has assigned identification number R0803 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this campaign.

DEALER RESPONSIBILITY

It is the dealers responsibility to check Service Comm for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary emissions recall
which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and
vehicles in a dealer's inventory.
