SENTRA FRONT DISC BRAKE NOISE

APPLIED MODEL:
1991-92 Sentra (B13) with 1.6L engine

SERVICE INFORMATION

Some Sentra vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following front disc brake noises identified and listed below:

1.

Squeak/Squeal This type of noise is most frequently reported as occurring with light to medium pedal force at primarily low speed stops (may
vary).

2.

Creep/Groan

This type of noise is most commonly reported as occurring on automatic transmission vehicles with front disc brakes when releasing the brake
pedal from a stop.

A new Non Asbestos Organic (NAO) front disc brake pad has been developed to correct such noise conditions.

PROCEDURE

To address customer complaints of front disc brake noise, replace the front disc brake pads with the new Non Asbestos Organic (NAO) front brake pad.

For brake pad replacement due to normal wear, continue to use the current Semi-Metallic front brake pad (if the pads being replaced are Semi-Metallic).
