(Radiator and A/C Condenser Fans)
APPLIED MODEL: 1991 Sentra/NX (B13)
SERVICE INFORMATION
A non-A/C 1991 Sentra/NX has one cooling fan: a radiator fan located on the driver's side behind the radiator. An A/C equipped 1991 Sentra/NX has
two cooling fans: a radiator fan and a condenser fan. There are several different radiator and condenser fans (due to wattage differences) depending on
body style, engine type, and transmission type.
CORRECT FAN LOCATION:
The radiator fans and condenser fans look similar, but they are different and it is important that they are installed in the correct locations. When an A/C
system is installed, the radiator fan is removed, the condenser fan is installed on the passenger side, and the radiator fan is reinstalled on the driver's side.
It is important to install each fan in the correct position for it to function properly. The illustration below shows the correct position for a typical radiator
fan and a typical condenser fan (as viewed from passenger compartment).
