f.

Remove 1/4" of insulation from the black wire.

g.

Attach the white wire and the black wire to a replacement terminal, P/N J38751-50; install a single wire seal, P/N J38751-48, over both
white and black wires.

h.

Re-install the terminal pin into the back side of the MAFS harness connector.

i.

Wrap the black wire with 3M # 88 electrical tape or equivalent.

j.

Route the ground wire along the existing engine compartment harness through the existing wire ties to the area of the engine ground F9. 
Refer to the EL Section of the appropriate Service Manual for the location of connector F9.

k.

Cut black wire to sufficient length to properly connect to F9 and crimp a ring connector, P/N J38751-47, to the wire.

l.

Attach the ring connector to engine ground F9.

 
NOTE:  

It is important to connect the MAFS ground lead directly to the existing engine ground F9 at the intake manifold.

4.

Repeat Step 2 to confirm correct MAFS ground voltage level.
