SERVICE INFORMATION
 
If a 1991-94 Sentra with the GA16 engine is difficult to start (engine cranks but the mixture is too rich) at high altitude with cold ambient temperatures, a
countermeasure (C/M) altitude switch with a sub-harness is available to reduce the incident.

These C/M components have no effect at altitudes lower than 5,000 feet.
 

PARTS INFORMATION

Service Procedure

1.

Record the radio presets.  Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.

2.

Unplug the engine control harness from the engine coolant temperature sensor (see Figure 1).
