Hold the float at the top of its travel for 3-5 minutes and verify that the needle goes all the way to-the fuel mark or slightly beyond. Refer
to illustration.

Lower the float arm to the bottom of its travel for 3-5 minutes and verify that the needle goes all the way to the empty mark or slightly
beyond. (See illustration.)

If the meter reads either less than full or more than empty after waiting 5 minutes, replace the meter.

If the meter reads properly, reinstall the sending unit ensuring that there is no interference from hoses or brackets and that the float arm
has unobstructed travel. When reinstalling the fuel sending unit, the O-ring which seals the sending unit to the fuel tank must be replaced
(P/N 17342-01A00). Also ensure that the fuel pump connector is completely snapped into place on both the upper and lower sides of the
sending unit. (The connector seal swells with fuel contact and may prevent a complete connection.)

6.

Reverify that the incident occurs and the nature of the incident.
