Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

 Oxygen Sensor

OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT:

1.

Disconnect harness terminal.

2.

Remove sensor with suitable socket or wrench.

3.

Apply a thin coating of anti-seize compound to the threads.

NOTE: Do not contaminate sensing tip with compound.

4.

Install sensor and torque it to 40-50 N-m (4.1-5.1 kg-m, 30-37 lb.ft.).

5.

Apply a thin coating of dielectric compound to the connector.

6.

Connect harness terminal.
