Note:
It is unnecessary to remove the entire vapor barrier from the inner door skin, just fold it in half.

CAUTION:
2-Door Model Only: Do not allow the white adhesive sealer to get on the seat belt.

Place the window crank back on the shaft temporarily (with the C-clip removed) and cycle the window up and down. If the effort has
improved, the inside or outside door molding is the cause of the binding and needs to be replaced.

If the effort is the same as before the panel was removed, please continue.

Remove the two 10 mm bolts from the regulator carrier plate (be careful not to drop door glass). Ensure that the two bolts removed are the
bolts which attach to the window clips and regulator carrier plate, not the bolts (regulator adjusting bolts) which attach the regulator to the
metal door panel.

Grasp the glass firmly at the top. Holding it against the rear sash track (B-pillar), manually slide the glass up and down in the glass run. Be
careful not to allow the glass to slide out of the front sash track (A-pillar) when moving. Notice if the glass slides smoothly without any
binding throughout the full range of travel (up and down).

If the glass slides smoothly, install glass onto regulator carrier plate and adjust the regulator. If the glass does not slide smoothly, continue to
Step 14.

CAUTION:
Regulator adjustment is very critical to window effort.

Regulator Adjustment Procedure:

a)

Insert glass into door and align to mounting holes on regulator slide.

b)

2-Door Model Only:

1.

Secure (finger tight) the glass to the carrier plate with two 10 mm bolts.

2.

Grasp top of glass and force it forward. Secure top front regulator adjusting bolt (torque to 3.8 to 4.8 ft.lb).

3.

Slide glass to the rear as far as possible.

c)

Secure the glass to the carrier plate with two 10 mm bolts and torque to 3.8 to 4.8 ft.lb.

d)

2-Door Model Only: Loosen top front regulator adjusting bolt.

e)

Roll window up to a point 30-50 mm from the full closed position. Ensure window is aligned correctly, then secure the four regulator
adjusting bolts located on the slide to the specified torque of 3.8 to 4.8 ft.lb.
