Body Control Module: Service and Repair
BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE)
Removal and Installation of BCM
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Before replacing BCM, perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specifications. See: Body and Frame/Body
Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2. Remove the instrument lower finisher. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Component Parts.
3. Remove the front foot duct (LH). See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Air Duct/Service and Repair.
4. Remove the BCM screw (A), disconnect the connectors and remove the BCM (1).

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:

When replacing BCM, perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION". See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

When replacing BCM, perform initialization of NATS system and registration of all NATS ignition key
IDs. See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm Systems/Keyless Entry/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and
General Diagnostics/Intelligent Key System/Key Switch (Intelligent Key Unit Input) Check.

When replacing BCM, if new BCM does not come with keyfobs attached, all existing keyfobs must be re-registered. Refer to
CONSULT-III operation manual for the initialization procedure.
