2002-2003 SENTRA; HEATER CASE DOORS BECOME STUCK

The Service Procedure seetion of this bulletin has been amended to include additional steps.

Please discard previously released copies of NTB03-005.

APPLIED VINS:

All VIN's for 2002 models.

For 2003 models, vehicles built before: 3N1CB51D63L785575

APPLIED DATE:

Vehicles built before: November 6, 2002

IF YOU CONFIRM

An applied 2002 or 2003 Sentra has any of the following symptoms:

^

Air flow amount is different between the left and right side of the center AC/Heater vents 

^

"Flapping" noise from the center AC/Heater vents.

^

Temperature Control (Air Mix) knob is stuck.

^

Temperature Control (Air Mix) Knob turns freely but will not change the temperature.

^

Mode Control knob is stuck.

ACTIONS

^

Repair or replace heater controls.

^

Replace foam seals on the Mode and Air Mix Doors inside the Heater Unit assembly.

^

Remove all loose seal material.
